Hydration wicking channels direct moisture away from skin
The Hiker, or Model 66, was added to Viberg's range in the early 1970s as mountaineering-inspired version of the Model 105 Logging Boot. It features developments listed from Viberg's industrial products, adapted for outdoor use.
The uppers are constructed from a single piece of Waxy Commander suede produced by British tannery Charles F. Stead & Co. a name synonymous with the finest leathers since 1900. Using bovine hide, the suede shrinks up to 25% during the unique CFS technique. The hide is tanned without any pigment the same way all C.F. Stead leathers are tanned with natural waxes applied to give the suede a waterproof finish.
Viberg boots are made for a lifetime of wear, so a sole which can be repaired, removed and replaced is paramount to ensure that daily wear doesn't cut that experience short. A French leather sole is attached to the uppers using a natural split welt which ensures serviceability. The English-made Commando rubber outsole is incredibly durable, providing fantastic traction over undulating surfaces for years to come.
